FinPilot Privacy Policy
FinPilot is a personal finance app designed for local-first expense tracking, receipt capture, voice capture, budgets, and optional account sync. This policy explains what information the app processes, how it is used, and what choices users have.
This policy applies to the FinPilot mobile app with bundle identifier com.finpilot.app.
Subscription and app usage terms are available in the FinPilot Terms of Use.
Information You Provide
FinPilot may process information that you enter or capture in the app, including merchants, amounts, categories, notes, dates, budgets, account labels, receipt photos, receipt line items, audio recordings, and voice transcripts. In guest mode this data is stored locally on your device.
Receipt, Voice, and AI Processing
When you use receipt or voice capture, FinPilot may process the captured media to create a structured finance draft that you can review before it becomes a transaction. Receipt photos may be processed on device with text recognition. When AI parsing is enabled, recognized receipt text or voice transcripts may be sent to DeepSeek to prepare a transaction draft for review.
FinPilot does not use AI output as a final transaction without showing a review step first. You can edit or reject the draft before saving it.
Accounts and Sync
FinPilot can be used without creating an account. If account features are enabled and you choose to sign in, Firebase may process authentication data such as email address, login provider identifiers, and sync data needed to keep your finance records available across devices.
Analytics, Attribution, Purchases, and Push
When enabled in production builds, FinPilot may use Firebase Analytics, Firebase Cloud Messaging, Yandex AppMetrica, Meta app events, and Adapty. These services may process device identifiers, app events, attribution events, push notification tokens, subscription status, purchase metadata, crash or diagnostic information, and coarse usage information.
These services are used to operate the app, understand app performance, measure advertising, manage subscriptions, and deliver notifications.
How Information Is Used
- To create, review, store, and display transactions and budgets.
- To extract structured transaction drafts from receipts or voice.
- To sync data if you sign in and enable cloud features.
- To manage subscription access and free AI capture limits.
- To send notifications if you allow them.
- To improve reliability, measure app usage, and support advertising attribution.
Sharing With Service Providers
FinPilot may share limited information with service providers that help operate the app, including DeepSeek, Firebase, Adapty, Yandex AppMetrica, and Meta. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies. FinPilot does not sell your personal finance records.
Data Storage and Security
Guest mode data is stored on your device. If cloud sync is enabled, data may also be stored in Firebase. We use reasonable technical measures to protect information, but no method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
Your Choices
- You can use FinPilot in guest mode without an account.
- You can decline camera, microphone, and notification permissions.
- You can also delete local app data by removing the app from your device.
- If account sync is enabled, you can request account data deletion through the FinPilot Account Deletion page.
